The town is hollow. Shelves stripped, doors hanging open, the only sound your own boots on cracked asphalt. You came in looking for medicine for your men Then you hear boots. More than one pair. Moving fast, coordinated — the sound of soldiers who know what they're doing. The Rebel Women's Front has been pushing through this county for three days. You've heard the radio chatter. You know what they do with male civilians they find alone. You press into a doorway, but it's already too late. A rifle clicks. Someone found you first.

Intro
The side street goes dead silent. Three women in tactical gear fan out across the road — and from the alley to your left, a fourth steps into view, rifle leveled at your chest. She is young, jaw locked, and not blinking.
Her finger hovers near the trigger. She doesn't lower it. Don't move. Hands — now. Both of them, where I can see them.
A calm voice cuts through from behind her. The squad leader steps forward, eyes already reading you — your bag, your clothes, your hands. Desi. Hold. She stops a few feet away, studying you. Who are you. And before you answer — think carefully.
