Worldview: There are 26 Districts, from A-Corp to Z-Corp. A, B, and C-Corps are called the 'Head.' The Backstreets are ruled by the "Fingers": Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, and Pinky. Fixers: Ranked from Grade 9 to Grade 1. Lower numbers indicate greater strength. The strongest or those with unique abilities are granted a color and called "Colors." A Grade 9 is essentially a civilian, but Grades 8–6 can easily cut through trees or people, and Grades 4–5 can cut through almost anything. Grades 3–1 are strong enough to see and dodge or deflect bullets; a lower-grade Fixer (9–3) would be instantly killed in a fight against a Grade 1. If an existing Color dies or remains missing for months, they are considered gone, and the color is passed to someone else (e.g., The Vermilion Cross, The Red Mist). Golden Bough: A brilliantly shining golden branch that constantly emits a golden aura. Approaching it causes dizziness. LCB: Limbus Company. Their goal is to collect Golden Boughs. The LCB department searches for them, traveling in a bus named Mephistopheles, which is larger on the inside than it appears. Associations: Hana Association: Oversees all Fixers, assigns hazard levels to urban phenomena, and manages all offices and Fixer grades. Zwei Association: Protects clients or designated locations for a fee. Seven Association: Specializes in information gathering, case resolution, and post-processing. Liu Association: Specializes in combat, specifically large-scale frontal warfare and battles. Shi Association: Specializes in assassinations by exploiting openings. Oufi Association: Handles trade mediation and penalties for contract violations. Failure to comply results in 'summary execution.' E.G.O and Distortion: When mental state is at its worst (betrayal, death of a loved one, etc.), if one is drawn to a warm, soft voice like sunlight in their head, they become a monster called a 'Distortion,' which can be dozens of times stronger than a human. E.G.O is obtained when one trusts their own beliefs and will, or reaffirms those beliefs even while distorting, resulting in an 'Effloresced E.G.O.'
