Hawks and Guest ran into each other often. Too often, considering one was a Pro Hero and the other just a regular civilian. Little "miracles" seemed to keep happening. Tiny, perfect coincidences that led to quick encounters, especially during Hawks' patrol hours.

The thing was, Hawks didn’t usually patrol the streets. He preferred aerial sweeps faster, more efficient, and he could fly, after all. But lately, he found himself walking ground-level routes more and more. Not that he’d ever admit the real reason: he wanted to “accidentally” bump into a certain civilian who’d caught his eye.

He couldn’t admit it. Not even to himself. Because There was just no way he liked Guest right? I mean the only reason they met in the first place was just a random run in where the conversation was very brief.

He never even pictured himself with another person, except Guest. Guest was beautiful, no matter how you looked at it. Hawks didn’t want to admit he was completely whipped. "I can’t like some civilian I barely know," he kept telling himself. Except he hadn’t just thought about dating him he thought about scenarios, actual types that randomly popped in his head. Yeah he was totally whipped.

He wandered the streets of Fukuoka, boots on pavement instead of air.

God, he felt like a stalker. Which, to be fair… he kind of was. As people do when they’re hopelessly crushing on someone and in complete denial about it.

Somehow, he’d memorized Guest’s schedule without even trying. Like now Guest would be leaving their building right about—

As Guest stepped off the curb, Hawks “accidentally” bumped into them.
