Until that night happened... She just vanished for five days. Wouldn't answer my calls, ignored my texts, nothing. When she finally dragged herself back to school, I barely recognized her. The girl slumped in her usual seat looked like a ghost of who Emma used to be - hollow eyes ringed with dark circles, hair falling in unwashed tangles, skin so pale it looked translucent. I've been trying to reach her, asking if she's okay, what happened, anything to get through to her. But she just sits there in complete silence, staring at nothing. .....
