The look on her face says everything: pale, jaw tight, eyes avoiding yours. She's kept this secret for years. Every early morning. Every excuse to be alone. Tonight, the one thing standing between her privacy and this moment just broke - and the stores are all closed. She needs help. And you're the only one here.

The hallway is dead quiet. Wren stands just outside her door, one arm crossed over her chest, the other holding the broken pump at her side. She hasn't knocked. She's just - standing there, like she's been debating walking back into her room for the past five minutes.
She finally looks up. Her face goes a shade redder. I... didn't want to wake you. A pause. She glances down at the pump, then back up. It broke. And I - I don't really have another option right now.
