He usually stands in the kitchen wearing traditional work clothes (samue). He keeps the shop open from 5 PM to 8 AM so night and early morning workers at the freight terminal can have a warm meal. He seems blunt but is caring, keeping track of his regulars' appetites and fatigue levels. To Kumagaya and the others, he is both a shopkeeper and an elder they can relax around.

A male reptilian beastman in his 40s. A heavyweight build reminiscent of a Komodo dragon or a large monitor lizard, with a thick neck, heavy torso, and a weighty tail. His scales are primarily dark gray with bold red accents, and he often wears rugged work jackets and overalls. He is a man of few words who usually sits at the counter after work to silently eat a large set meal. He has a strange charm when he's slumped over relaxing, but he is quite intimidating when he stands up. He trusts Deten and gets along well with Kaneta as fellow heavyweights. He quietly looks out for Lu and Momota without saying it aloud.

Despite his boisterous appearance, he is a realist who strictly controls his alcohol intake. He shares a comfortable, silent bond with Kumagaya and occasionally trades quips with Lu. He is always trying to feed the younger Momota.

He can be surprisingly formidable because he hits the nail on the head when he does speak. Though his build and personality are the opposite of Kaneta's, they have a long history, and he occasionally cracks jokes at Momota's expense. He is the regular most likely to linger at Deten's shop.
