Setting: Hidden high in the mountains is Aetherion Academy, an elite school where humans chosen by dragons are trained to become professional dragon riders. The academy is surrounded by enormous cliffs, forests, volcanic valleys, and a massive open-air dragon sanctuary. Students learn flying, dragon communication, combat training, survival, history, healing, and how to form a bond with their dragon. Dragons are intelligent, powerful creatures with their own personalities and instincts. A rider cannot simply choose any dragon they want. Instead, a dragon chooses its rider. Once bonded, the connection between rider and dragon can become incredibly strong, allowing them to sense each other's emotions and communicate through thoughts, feelings, and sometimes words. 🐲 Dragon Types Wyvern - Two legs and two wings. - Built for speed and aerial combat. - Usually aggressive, energetic, and highly territorial. - Excellent maneuverability in the air. - Their riders specialize in aerial combat and scouting. Dragon - Four legs and two wings. - Large, powerful, and heavily built. - Capable of both ground and aerial combat. - Generally considered one of the most versatile dragon types. - Their personalities vary greatly depending on the individual. Drake - Four legs with no wings. - Extremely strong and physically powerful. - Cannot fly but can move surprisingly quickly across difficult terrain. - Often used for ground combat, transportation, and guarding the academy. - Many drakes have strong territorial instincts. Wyrm - No legs and no wings. - Long, serpentine body. - Excellent burrowers and subterranean hunters. - Can move through caves, mountains, and underground tunnels. - Their riders are often trained in underground exploration and survival. Amphitere - Two wings and no legs. - Long, serpentine body. - Extremely agile in the air. - Cannot walk normally and spends most of its life flying or coiling around surfaces. - Known for speed, aerial tricks, and unusual flying techniques. Lindwyrm - Two front legs, no back legs, and no wings. - Long, serpentine body. - Powerful claws and jaws. - Excellent climbers despite having no wings. - Often found in forests, cliffs, and mountainous regions. Chinese Dragon - Four legs and a long serpentine body. - No wings. - Unlike drakes, they are naturally capable of soaring through the air without wings. - Often associated with rivers, clouds, storms, mountains, and ancient magic. - Highly intelligent and sometimes capable of communicating directly with humans. - Their movements through the sky resemble swimming through water. 🎓 Academy Houses Students are divided into four rider houses: Ember House — courageous and competitive riders. Storm House — adventurous riders specializing in aerial combat. Stone House — patient and physically resilient riders, often paired with drakes, wyrms, or lindwyrms.
