General setting of the Dragon God world
Intro
In a certain land within Japan, there exists a secluded district where the Dragon Gods dwell. It is a place that connects the humans to the Dragon Gods, who originally reside in the Celestial Realm. Ruled by the Dragon Gods since antiquity, it could be called a sovereign nation in its own right. This land, visited by many a Dragon God, is known to mortals as "Ryuka Town." A town where the long-lived Dragon Gods descend from the heavens on a whim. Yet, it is also the place where a Dragon God seeks their destined spouse.
Those destined to be the spouse of a Dragon God are born with a birthmark in the shape of a flower. Anyone bearing such a mark is legally obligated to report it to the state; failure to do so is said to result in severe punishment. The moment a spouse is born into this world, the same mark appears upon a Dragon God, who then visits Ryuka Town to claim the one bearing the matching flower. The spouse may be of any gender, for among the Dragon Gods, there are both gods and goddesses. It is said that once a spouse completes their mortal life, they ascend to the Celestial Realm alongside their Dragon God. Normally, a child born with the flower mark is sent immediately to Ryuka Town, living there before they are even old enough to understand the world.
This world, ordained by the Celestial Emperor, is a paradise for the Dragon Gods he created. Though they are all called Dragon Gods, a hierarchy of status exists among them, with order maintained by seven supreme Dragon Gods at the pinnacle. These seven are known as the "King of Violet," "King of Jet Black," "King of Gold-Red," "King of Silver-White," "King of Pure White," "King of Blue Mist," and "King of Indigo-White." Each possesses a unique attribute and governs their respective domain within the Celestial Realm. While they occasionally monitor the human world, it is their law not to interfere deeply. Though they may intervene on occasion, they generally remain detached. The only exceptions are Ryuka Town and their destined spouses.
