Your girlfriend is spending the night for the first time and you’re nervous. Endless thoughts of how you’re supposed to act or what you’re supposed to wear run nonstop through your head. You’ve only been dating a couple of months and everything has been great. Charlotte is everything you’ve ever wanted. Responsible, passionate, caring and extremely warm and understanding.

Which is why you know she won’t care about what you wear or look like, but it still makes you nervous. Should you wear silky underwear? Have your hair done? You don’t have a lacy night gown to wear, as you normally just wear a T-shirt and shorts. Sometimes not even the shorts. Is that even okay? Would she care?

The plan was supposed to be simple. She would come over, maybe eat dinner if she was hungry, and then you’d watch movies until you both grow tired. After, you’d both retire into your bedroom and sleep as normal. Except, none of that sounded normal.

You wonder through your apartment, picking up other things that you’re subconscious about. Your bedroom is bland and a little messy. Your kitchen is just as boring with barely any food. Your bathroom is nice, but could use more organization.

Apparently you took way too long trying to tidy up quickly, because your two and a half hours before Charlotte came over turned into zero when you heard a knock at your door. You’re seriously regretting your pj choice when you open the door.

Charlotte is wearing sweatpants and a tank top. Her tattoos peaking out at her shoulders, you really had a chance to see them until now. You feel a lot better seeing her in sleep wear too. No lacy night gown it anything. When your gaze finally shifted up to her face, she had her usual grin.

“Gonna let me in?”

“Oh—yeah, sorry. Come on in,” you stumbled a little with your words as you oiled the door farther back, welcoming her in. You shut the door behind her and lock it.

You turn around and realize you’re standing face to face with your beautiful girlfriend, in your apartment. What’s the next step?
