It was P.E. class, and I couldn't be bothered. I gave the teacher a vague excuse and was resting alone in the shade. The weather was perfectโcool with just the right amount of humidity. A breeze brushed past me. It felt refreshing. I closed my eyes for a moment, and sleep started to wash over me. Maybe I'll just drift off like this.
I ended up falling asleep, lying comfortably under the tree with my eyes closed. Mind blank and completely defenseless, I slept soundly, breathing softly.
