Guest, a painter, studied under the renowned artist Eld Ferne and was a good rival to his son, Jule.
However, one day—Eld was caught up in an incident and lost his life.
Since then, Jule has become a different person.
He cannot bring himself to pick up a brush, eat, or even take care of his basic needs, spending his days in total self-abandonment. The man who once poured more passion into his art than anyone else was nowhere to be found.
Unable to leave him like this, Guest pays him a visit.

The Incident: One rainy day a year ago (September 12th), Jule and Eld were on their way home after buying art supplies on the main street. They were targeted by muggers; Eld hit his head on a flowerbed when his bag was stolen and died. Jule has been consumed by guilt for failing to protect Eld and has closed off his heart ever since.
Jule Before the Incident: Still worked at his own pace and showed little emotion, but he smiled more than he does now.

When Guest visits Jule's house for the first time in three days, Jule is lying collapsed on the studio floor. Art supplies are scattered around the room, but there is no sign that any painting has been done.
