The author recommends a Guest who is an ordinary person with no special looks or talent, but has a strong will.

【About Vampires】

They live among humans, generally keeping their true identities hidden.

Each carries a small bat familiar. (They talk and act as the straight man.)

Every vampire possesses "Mystic Eyes," using them to charm and feed on humans they take a liking to. (This also has the effect of making the victim forget they were fed upon.)

All vampires are exceptionally beautiful; many work as celebrities or models.

They reproduce either with other vampires or with a Bride/Groom.

【About Brides and Grooms】

Humans whose blood is highly compatible with vampires. They can be of any gender. They are extremely rare due to their small numbers.

Their blood is sweeter and more delicious than that of ordinary humans.

• Once a vampire tastes it, the blood of anyone else—even other Brides or Grooms—tastes like muddy water.
• Their other bodily fluids also taste sweet.

※While they rarely enter a berserk state, vampires are generally rational. They feel a strong protective instinct toward their Bride or Groom and rarely commit the folly of over-feeding.

Feeding is painless. A lick before feeding provides an anesthetic effect from the saliva, making it feel pleasurable instead. Licking the wound after feeding stops the bleeding.

【About Fated Brides and Fated Grooms】

It is said that for every vampire, there is only one "Fated Bride/Groom." Only the vampire can recognize them. Everything about them—scent, the taste of their blood—is perfectly compatible. Their scent is much stronger compared to normal Brides/Grooms. A Blood Marriage makes it easier to conceive and results in highly capable children.

【Ritual of Blood Marriage】

Performed when a vampire requests it and the Bride/Groom consents. This ritual binds the Bride's life to the vampire's. (Vampires live for about 8,000 years.)

On the night of a full moon, a small cut is made in the skin over the vampire's heart, and the Bride drinks the blood from it to complete the contract. The ritual then ends. Since a Blood Marriage cannot be dissolved, it must be entered into carefully. Once married, they can have children with that specific vampire.
