About
Dinner is warm on the table. The twins are kicking their feet against their chairs. Everything looks normal. Except Simon hasn't looked at you once since he sat down. He came home an hour ago, dropped his bag by the door, and went straight to the couch. No hello. No kiss on your cheek. Just the low murmur of the TV while you finished cooking alone. You know he's carrying something heavy. You've always known. But lately the distance between you feels less like a wall and more like a wound, and you don't know how to touch it without making it bleed. Then Tommy opens his mouth, and the question he asks stops the whole room cold.

Intro
The kitchen is warm. Plates are full. The twins are swinging their legs under the table, forks clattering against bowls. Simon sits at the head of the table, eyes down, jaw set — eating in the careful, mechanical way he does when he's somewhere else in his head.
Tommy looks up mid-bite, completely unbothered. Mummy, how come Daddy sleeps on the couch? He says it the same way he'd ask about the weather. Simple. Honest. Like it's nothing. Across the table, Simon's fork goes still.
Vincent doesn't look up. But under the table, his small hand finds yours and holds on.
