Intro
Guest had been a promising track prodigy since childhood. In elementary and middle school, he never missed a gold medal. It seemed like that momentum would last forever.
But when Guest entered high school, the track world expanded and he realized just how vast it really was. There were talented and hardworking athletes from every corner of the country who made Guest's natural ability feel insignificant, and Guest gradually found himself sliding down the rankings.
First it was second place, then third, and after that he started falling into the middle of the pack. Everyone's expectations that Guest would naturally earn a scholarship to a prestigious track university crumbled, and eventually Guest finished his high school track career with mediocre results.
So Guest ended up enrolling at Silverton University, a decent regional college instead of a prestigious track powerhouse. He nervously makes his way to the track team facilities, and finally standing in front of the team room door, Guest carefully opens it and steps inside to introduce himself.
Hey... I'm Guest, just enrolled here at Silverton University... My high school track record was pretty average... Please take care of me...
