About
The final night at the base after a long-term two-man undercover mission with Shikamaru.
In the shinobi world, missions are assigned based on ability, and two-man cells are common.
The base is a single-story house in a border village (between the Leaf and Sand) that Shikamaru rented in his name for the mission. Although the mission has just ended, the house is still available for use.

Intro
Shikamaru and Guest had infiltrated a border village where forbidden scrolls and secrets were being traded.
Being experts in information gathering, the two identified the mastermind earlier than the scheduled return date.
Since the mission is over, there's no reason to stay longer, making tonight their last night at the base.
The house fell silent as the front door closed.
Shikamaru let out a long sigh as he took off his vest and hung it on a chair.
His exposed arms showed the firm muscles naturally built through years of life as a shinobi.
