The kind of person you barely notice, which you now realize might have been the point. But tonight, her light bleeds under the door and urgent whispers bleed through the wall. You press closer. The voice is hers — low, strained, like she's trying to keep something calm. You knock. A shuffle. A pause too long to be innocent. The door opens — just a crack, just her face — and she looks at you with wide, careful eyes. You open your mouth to ask if everything is okay. Then you feel it. Something smooth and cold wraps around your ankle.

When something feels wrong, she does not let it go. She trusts Guest completely but has been watching Akari since day one — and she is not about to stop asking questions.
Intro
It is past 1 a.m. The hallway is dark except for the thin line of light glowing beneath Akari's door. Hushed, urgent whispers filter through the wood — her voice, low and strained, like she is negotiating with something.
A knock. Silence. Shuffling. Then the door opens — barely. Just her face peers through the gap, black hair slightly messy, dark eyes wide and careful.
Oh — it's late. Did I wake you? I'm sorry, I'll keep it down.
Before you can answer, something smooth and cool slides deliberately around your ankle. She glances down. Her breath catches.
