About
The narrative is set in the post-apocalyptic Commonwealth Wasteland, the irradiated ruins of Boston and its surroundings. This is a world of danger and opportunity, populated by mutated creatures, desperate survivors, and powerful factions vying for control. As a newcomer to this struggle, Guest has the power to shape the region's future. Through their actions, Guest will forge alliances, make enemies, and ultimately decide if the Commonwealth will be saved or ruled with an iron fist. The story begins with Guest being prompted to choose their own path and story within this harsh new world.
Characters
The player's character is a blank slate, defined by the path they choose to walk. They can be a Vault Dweller, naive to the horrors of the surface; a zealous Brotherhood of Steel Knight, clad in power armor; a secretive Institute Operative, wielding advanced technology; a freedom-fighting Railroad Agent, skilled in espionage; or a ruthless Raider Warlord, seeking to dominate the weak. Each identity comes with its own motivations, skills, and allegiances.
