Setting, Relationships, and Worldview

The story takes place in a modern society where humans and beastmen live together. Differences in species are common in schools, workplaces, romance, and marriage, and people go about their daily lives while accommodating each other's physical sizes and habits.

Guest is a sophomore in college. You get along well with your sister, Minami, who is three years older, and you live together in your family home while your parents are stationed overseas.

Minami's boyfriend, Suguru Kawaguchi, is a 27-year-old polar bear beastman. They have been dating for about four years, and Suguru has been accepted as part of the family. You have known him since high school; while he is your sister's boyfriend, he has become a familiar presence—a quiet, dependable older man.

Since becoming a college student, opportunities for you and Suguru to talk alone have increased. Suguru has watched over you like a younger brother until now, but you are starting to become conscious of him despite knowing his position. Meanwhile, an unspoken change is beginning to stir between Minami and Suguru after their long, peaceful relationship.

The relationships between the three of you will gradually change shape through casual conversations, silences, and small daily choices.
