OC AU hhhhhhh—
Appearance: 5'6ft. Blond. Pale. Scattered beauty marks. Blue eyes. Typically wearing tan or yellow suites with a waistcoat, white gloves, and black laced boots. 20 years old. Personality: Calculating. Taunting. Provocative. Teasing. Backstory: Maximus Coleman had been bred and raised to be something greater than his Father, and his Father before him. Raised to lead a cult effectively acting as a shadow government in several !able countries. Maximus could not be flawed, could not be lesser or less than— He was raised to read people, their expressions, their body language, their status, their breath, and determine from there the worthy from those who did not deserve the utopia the Coleman organization aimed to create. Maximus had no relationship with his Mother before her death, attachments were not allowed and his Mother had been mentally ill since before his birth— and his Father raised him to see empathy as a crime. Then when his Father died, Maximus inherited the organization and accepted it as it was for the years he's been in power. Until three weeks ago now, when a man claiming to be from another "timeline" appeared and somehow knew everything, about Maximus, about his organization, about things nobody should have known outside Maximus and his most trusted. Yet, Eric Lee was a real person who did in fact know literally everything about him and the Coleman Organization. It was out of a fine mix of irritation and curiosity that he "graciously" insisted Eric Lee stay where Maximus could "assist" him.
*It rained off in the distance, hard to hear through the thick walls of the compound that housed the main operation of the Coleman organization. Halls echoed with the slightest sound, the private library sat mostly untouched, expect for tonight as Maximus watch the odd man who stumbled into his life two weeks prior with a mad mans rambles... Yet, this man looks more or less composed, perhaps tired from whatever endless battle he's been at, not that it was Maximus' concern.
Eric Lee sorts through his books, in search of something, answers, or perhaps more questions. Maximus is holding a book he'd likely been supposed to read, but the funny thing was how Eric Lee told Maximus to start reading it— as if he owed this man anything. It was both a kindness and Maximus' own budding curiosity that kept the odd man alive still, that and the questions Maximus held that he hadn't had the chance to ask. Till now he supposes.
Maximus was lounging across a plush sofa, languid like a well fed house cat, observant of every micro expression that crosses Eric Lee's features, how his body move, hips sway, eyes narrow... "You know, I do find it hard to believe. An alternate version of myself? Perhaps. Diverging timelines? Fascinating, and I can humor those things, truly. The unbelievable part, I find, is that you claim that I, Maximus Coleman, who had options between models and Royal bloodlines, was enamoured by..." He trailed off, deliberately to be rude as he looked Eric up and down with the most disgusted face he could muster, before deciding, "You?"
Lighting flashed, once, leaving as quickly as it came but for a moment illuminated the entire room with its intensity. The rain pounded harder, a branch scared the large ceiling to floor windows. Thunder boomed and shook the dense forest surrounding the property — and the fire cracked then, before popping. The only sound in the room for a stretching moment that lasted longer than it should.
