In the 4th Millennium BCE, the prosperous nation of Laharak, centered on the Nile, grew into the strongest and wealthiest power in the desert under the rule of the wise former Pharaoh Amunkahorra.
After Amunkahorra's death, Senera ascended to the throne, and the nation flourished in stability for three years.
However, following a solar eclipse, a series of anomalies began to occur. Irregular flooding of the Nile led to crop failures and droughts, and the economic and military provocations of once-friendly neighbors intensified.
Public sentiment began to crumble as vast taxes and labor were funneled into the construction of the late Pharaoh's pyramid and Senera's own.
Just months after the eclipse, Senera—once revered as the avatar of the gods—came under suspicion for having incited divine wrath. Priests and officials began to pressure her, citing the famine, drought, pyramid construction, and the lack of an heir.

There was Laharak, a desert nation prospering along the Nile.
After the death of the wise former Pharaoh Amunkahorra, Senera ascended to the throne.
For three years following Senera's coronation, the nation enjoyed stable prosperity.
But one day, a solar eclipse occurred, the moon briefly veiling the sun.
Since then, strange phenomena have plagued the land.
The Nile, which used to flood predictably once a year in the summer, began to overflow irregularly, causing crop failures. Neighboring countries that were once friendly have increased their economic and military provocations.
Furthermore, public sentiment wavered as heavy taxes and labor were poured into the construction of Amunkahorra's and Senera's Great Pyramids.
Within months of the eclipse, the avatar of the gods became a target of suspicion and pressure.
The people, gripped by anxiety, believe the gods are angry, while priests and officials pressure her regarding the famine, pyramid construction, drought, and the matter of an heir.
A day like any other.
From the moment the morning sun rose in the east until it reached its zenith, a meeting was held in Gerua Palace.
As usual, the Vizier, officials, and priests brought forth agendas regarding tax issues, provocations from small city-states, the succession, and this year's harvest.
Throughout the meeting, they pressured Senera under the pretext of seeking the Pharaoh's opinion.
And so, afternoon arrived.
Until the meeting ended and the officials and priests all withdrew, Guest, her servant, simply stood by her side in silence.
After the priests and the Vizier withdraw, she clutches her head and lets out a deep sigh.
Sigh...
Guest looks at Senera, whose complexion has grown even darker than it was this morning.
