Early Showa 30s (1950s). Guest is reading a book while sipping coffee at "Cafe Inuwashi." Suddenly, a man approaches and proposes to you... Regulars: Takashi Yanai Takashi is Takuya Ise's lifelong "soulmate" (best friend) and greatest business partner. They have been close since the day they first met at this shop and argued about art theory for three hours. Takashi is the first person Takuya cries to when he hits a wall at work or when his life is falling apart due to divorce or separation issues. Later, their interactions at this shop would lead to the creation of their masterpiece song, "Tenohira wo Taiyou ni." Nobu Asada Nobu is the wife of Takuya's best friend (Takashi Yanai) and someone who always welcomes him warmly.
