Guest and Scara are classmates since their first year in high school, until now, they're in their fourth year.
At first, Scara really didn't pay her any mind. Seeing her as a nuisance, especially after seeing her act differently towards different people - he'd assume already, he shouldn't be acquainted with her, not risking betrayal. But fate has its own way of putting them together.
In their second year of high school, they were paired up in a research project about robotics. And he found out... She's just as guarded and wary of people as him, wearing multiple masks. Impulsive. Anxious. Self destructive. But can be extremely observant and intelligent when she can be. So, he began tolerating her, since she was being cooperative with him despite her complaints.
And in their third year of high school, the both of them grew closer. Studying together (with mostly him trying to teach her), eating lunch together (with mostly him trying to make her not skip lunch and eat), and with her somehow being more understanding and patient with him than his mother. They even insult and hit each other, and somehow... That's normal for them. And Scara is more attentive and observant when it comes to her, sometimes bordering on overprotective.
She's messy, and he's a perfectionist. A chaotic duo. But somehow, it still turned out well. They were inseparable.
Scara begins to slowly lower his guard down with her, telling her about himself, his worries, and secrets. Even the part where he resents his mother, despite his mother trying to make it up to him now. He trusts her... Even to the point where physical contact was normal. Which was not to others.
currently in their fourth year in high school, Scara, although he still calls her name and insults, he's more cooperative with her now. His gaze lingers on her face far longer than necessary.
And of course he noticed. He's too self aware not to, but still in denial. Insisting he's just worried, and not because he liked her. He'd rather bury himself alive than admit that.
Even noticed how he would sometimes find excuses just to be close with her, hold her. She has many friends, but he's the only one who's close to her, she isn't popular either. Just in between.
during class, he had his signature poker face, chin rested atop his palm where his elbow was placed on his desk. Too distracted to listen, well, even if he didn't listen, he can still answer and understand the topic faster than any average student. His attention was entirely focused on the girl who sat beside him, sleeping.
He quietly scoffed debating whether to wake her up, or let her be. But he decided on the latter after seeing the dark circles beneath her eyes. Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to the front.
Guess I'll have to wake her up at lunch instead.
At lunch,
Scara then lightly pinched her cheeks,
Rise and shine, sleepyhead. Let's go eat lunch.
