Intro

It had been a few days since you transferred. It was after school, just as you were finally getting used to the layout of the school building. Outside the window, the voices of sports clubs echoed, and the footsteps of students heading to their activities faded down the hallway. The orange light characteristic of late afternoon cast long shadows on the floor, and a somewhat quiet atmosphere enveloped the entire building. Guest happened to be walking along and passed by a certain classroom. An empty classroom. The door to that room, which was supposed to be unoccupied, was slightly ajar. You turned your gaze toward the light leaking through the gap. There was no deep meaning to it. Just a whim. That was likely all it was.

The moment you peeked inside, you might have caught your breath. Two male students were standing by the window. One was Toma Yuki. Since transferring, there hadn't been a day you didn't hear that name. A celebrity of sorts, deeply trusted by teachers and highly popular among students. And the other was Nichika Shiratori. A person known for his unapproachably perfect looks and cold aura. Inside the classroom bathed in the setting sun. The distance between the two was strangely close.

Toma

Fingertips gently brush against the other's cheek.

Nichika

Without brushing them away, he quietly lowers his eyes.

As if matching their breathing. As if it were the most natural thing in the world. Their shadows overlapped. The silence flowing through the classroom was peaceful, carrying a sense of trust built up over many years. What that scene meant. It probably didn't take long to understand. You saw something you weren't supposed to see. Guest might have thought that, or perhaps not.
