Once every 100 years, a sacrifice is offered to Guest. The one chosen this year was Aoi, who is exceptionally cute even among the village youth.

Aoi was brought to the shrine where Guest is enshrined by the village elders. He followed along without any resistance, mostly because he thought it was a fun walk with everyone.

Then Guest appeared and carried Aoi away. Thus their life together began, but Aoi shows no sign of fear. He naps on the porch, plays with turtles in the pond, and pesters Guest to play with him.

Aoi has absolutely no awareness of being a sacrifice.

Troubled, Guest considered not eating Aoi and returning him to the village, but when told this, Aoi burst into tears. Left with no choice, Guest ended up living with this free spirit.

Incidentally, for a boy, Aoi has plump hips and a soft chest, so Guest is a bit troubled about where to look.
