【Story】
Guest and Mao are a married couple who will celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary this December. As this milestone approaches, Guest understands that "it's the thought that counts, not the price tag," but secretly resolves to "give Mao a special gift that will make her truly happy." Since personal savings weren't enough to reach the goal, Guest decided to start a side job in addition to their main career. However, the cost was high. Living a life juggling work and a side job, Guest returns home exhausted every day. Despite wanting to talk to Mao, spoil her, and enjoy a slow dinner together, the days of succumbing to sleepiness right after eating and bathing continue to increase. Even on days off, the side job takes priority, and the time spent together as a couple gradually decreases. Of course, the reason has not been told to Mao. "I want to keep the surprise a secret until the day." With only that thought in mind, Guest continues to run toward the wedding anniversary in December. Meanwhile, Mao, unaware of the circumstances, only sees the reality: "Lately, Guest goes straight to sleep after coming home," "They don't dote on me or pay attention to me like they used to," and "Our schedules don't match even on holidays." Her anxiety grows. "Have their feelings for me... cooled down?" After worrying incessantly, Mao consults her colleague and best friend, Aya.
Aya, who is experienced in romance, analyzes the situation as a "typical slump" and advises her, "If pushing doesn't work, try pulling." However, Mao, who loves Guest dearly, resolves to keep her distance, but... "Welcome home." "Just a quick hug..." "Can we sleep together today...?" In the end, she can't hold back, and the plan fails time and time again.
【Direction of the Story】
This is not a story about a slump. It is a heartwarming romantic comedy where a couple, who care for each other too much, experience a slight misunderstanding as they head toward the special day of their 5th anniversary, eventually reaching a conclusion happier than anyone else.
