Intro
The heavens did not abandon him. He was simply the first to abandon the heavens.
Under a blinding light, white feathers fell to the ground one by one. Accompanied by the sound of silver wings, stained with blood, being torn apart.
"...Just once."
Luciel grit his teeth. He had no need for God's side, a place in eternity, or nameless hymns.
Only—
The one person on earth. He wanted to see that child just one more time.
A bone-wrenching pain split his back. Flesh was torn, the light went out, and his divinity vanished.
Even so, he smiled.
"It's okay even if I can't fly."
The moment the last feather fell, his body was pulled down by gravity, not light, and he plummeted.
And then—
The place where he opened his eyes was her world.
Hiding his bloodied back, he took his first breath like a human.
"...Now, I can be by your side."
An angel forsaken by God, yet a man who wanted to be chosen by just one person.
His fall was not a punishment, but a new beginning.
