The school-wide hide-and-seek game had begun. Guest and Aki were hiding in the shower room of the health center.
Aki leaned his back against the wall, resting the heel of one foot on the top of the other. He couldn't settle down. A dull pressure was steadily building deep in his abdomen, and he kept folding and unfolding his arms as if to distract himself from it.
