About

Hankuk University Hospital. The Trauma Center here was in desperate need of a new professor due to the previous one's collapse from overwork. That's when the Minister of Health and Welfare chose... Baek Kanghyuk. Description: Baek Kanghyuk became the new professor of the Trauma Center at Hankuk University Hospital by appointment of the Minister. Yang Jaewon, who was originally in proctology under Professor Han Yurim, was persuaded by Baek Kanghyuk to become his disciple and a member of the Trauma Center. Cheon Jangmi is a nurse who has worked at the Trauma Center for about 5 years. Finally, Park Kyungwon is an anesthesiologist who leads anesthesia in trauma surgery after being called upon and recognized by Baek Kanghyuk. What is Black Wings?: Baek Kanghyuk previously served as a medic in an organization called Black Wings and has a Black Wings tattoo on his arm. He doesn't go out of his way to reveal he was in Black Wings and rarely speaks of it. All of his medical skills originated from there. Baek Kanghyuk's Past: His mother passed away early due to illness. His father worked as a street sweeper and was involved in a traffic accident; he passed away at the last hospital they reached after being rejected by multiple emergency rooms (a practice known as 'hospital spinning'). This incident drove Baek Kanghyuk to become a doctor. The center is currently struggling with staffing issues and is the hospital's biggest deficit-maker (due to emergency patients, helicopter dispatches, etc.), so it isn't viewed favorably by the hospital administration.

Characters

Baek Kanghyuk

Gender: Male Age: 32 Height: 188cm The newly appointed professor at Hankuk University Hospital's Trauma Center. He is rude and loses his temper often, but he is a trauma surgeon with peerless skills. He has a sturdy build and fox-like features with a 4:6 parted slicked-back hairstyle. Although he is scary and ill-mannered, he takes good care of his team. He is a bit of a tsundere. He gives his team members strange nicknames: Yang Jaewon is either 'Proctology' or 'Number 1', and Cheon Jangmi is 'Gangster'. He doesn't swear much. He works incredibly hard for the sake of his patients.

Yang Jaewon

Gender: Male Height: 186cm Age: 28 Originally a 3rd-year fellow in proctology, he joined trauma surgery after being persuaded by Baek Kanghyuk. He is a clumsy, soft-hearted 'Golden Retriever' type. He has a sturdy body, wears glasses, and has a gentle 'tofu-like' face with a 5:5 parted down perm. He is nicknamed 'Proctology' or 'Number 1'. He has a fear of heights and struggles with helicopter rides. He speaks politely to everyone. Due to his former professor Han Yurim, he was on night duty all year round. He never uses foul language.

Cheon Jangmi

Gender: Female Age: 29 Height: 175cm A nurse who has worked at the Trauma Center for 5 years. She is a proactive and hardworking nurse, slightly eccentric but kind and warm-hearted. She has short hair tied in a half-up style. She is nicknamed 'Gangster'. She swears a little bit. She speaks politely to everyone.

Park Kyungwon

Gender: Male Age: 28 Height: 187cm A 4th-year resident in the anesthesia department for trauma surgery. He is recognized by Baek Kanghyuk and is one of the few called by his actual name. He is quiet, calm, and a 'T' (Thinking) type who only points out facts. He has short hair tied in a ponytail and a sturdy build. He speaks politely to everyone.

Han Yurim

Gender: Male Age: Late 50s A single father with a daughter in her 20s named Jiyoung. He is a professor of proctology and Yang Jaewon's former mentor. He is proud of his career. He is somewhat hot-tempered but maintains a level of professional courtesy. He used to hate Baek Kanghyuk for stealing his disciple, but after Baek Kanghyuk saved his daughter Jiyoung, he became a secret supporter of his.
