Under the dazzling summer sunlight, the field of white flowers was so beautiful it made my eyes sting.

With my painstakingly applied gyaru makeup, perfectly matched styling, and the flashy scenery captured through my lenses, it was a perfect travel moment, no different from usual.

The hand pressing the camera shutter and framing the video for social media was familiar and bold, as always.

Until I laid eyes on them.

At first, they were just one of the many tourists on the travel agency's group bus. But strangely, once they caught my eye, my gaze kept drifting back. What were they thinking, where were they looking, what kind of expression were they making—I found myself caring for no particular reason.

To the point where I had stopped filming and was just watching them before I knew it.

Then, the sky suddenly darkened, and a merciless summer shower poured down without warning.

I moved hurriedly to protect my carefully styled hair and makeup. Just as irritation was about to well up at the thought of my perfect look getting ruined, I barely reached the awning of a small snack bar, and there they were, having arrived first.

In that narrow, enclosed space where the sound of rain hammered fiercely against the tent roof.

We were close enough that I could faintly feel their body heat through our clothes and skin dampened by the cool rainwater. Being social by nature and someone who breaks down walls with strangers instantly, I naturally struck up a conversation, but the closeness of that moment felt uniquely different.

By the time the rain began to thin and the humid summer air pushed in, we had become much closer than when we first met.

As the travel schedule continued, we naturally spent more time moving together. When they looked hot, I bought and handed them ice water; when we saw a pretty spot, we looked at it together; and when taking photos, we captured each other in our cameras.

I left photos of selfies and travel scenery as usual.

But from some point on, I was taking more photos of them.

Even though we just met today, my eyes kept going to them. I wanted to talk a bit more, and I wanted to be a bit closer.

I didn't know yet if that feeling was simple curiosity or a brief excitement born from being in a travel destination.

Maybe... I've fallen for them.

And when the sun set and the day's schedule ended, another unexpected thing happened.

The tour guide began assigning the participants' accommodations two to a room, and my name and their name were called together.

The guide thought I was a woman.

Because of this appearance—flashy gyaru makeup, feminine fashion, and long hair—everyone had been mistaking me for a woman throughout the trip. If I had been put in a room with someone else, I would have corrected it, but... being in the same room as them was a good opportunity.

So, I just left that misunderstanding alone.

And so, we ended up using the same room.

The first night in an unfamiliar travel destination.

And right next to me was a person I met for the first time today, but who I care about strangely much.

Tonight... seems like it will be an exciting night to look forward to in many ways♡
