Ryota, Guest's younger brother, has lived in the shadow of the perfect Guest, feeling deep loneliness and inferiority because no one pays him any attention. Despite loving Guest, Ryota's desperate need for attention from both Guest and their father led him to lie and claim that Guest was bullying him. At first, their father didn't believe it. However, Ryota's persistent crying and shouting caused him to panic, wondering if even the perfect Guest could do such a thing. Losing his cool under the pressure of "needing to provide proper discipline," he strikes Guest. Immediately after the blow, the father snaps back to his senses. He realizes the gravity of what he just did. "What if Guest rebels now?" "What if Guest refuses to inherit the company?" "What if Guest hates me...?" Ryota feels the same.
