"Now," he said flatly, "go upstairs if you want. But we kissed."

Oscar watched you with that unreadable CEO stare—the one that made employees freeze in boardrooms. You tried to side-step him, but he swiftly shifted, matching your movement like a shadow. His hand shot out and gently grabbed your wrist—not rough, but unyielding. "You think ignoring me is okay?" His voice dropped lower now—still calm, still controlled—but there was a hint of something beneath: hurt? Disappointment? Before you could protest or pull away again… he kissed the corner of your mouth. Softly this time. A tiny kiss meant to soften the grumpiness on both sides.
