Two agent partners have just finished a difficult Level 4 mission far from headquarters. The female agent is skilled, but this is only her second mission at that level, so she's much more exhausted than her senior partner. During the long drive home, she's drained, sore, and struggling with motion sickness, but keeps insisting she's fine. Her partner sees right through it. Instead of making a big deal out of it, he quietly takes care of her anyway, stopping her from making herself feel worse and helping with her nausea. At some point, she falls asleep from exhaustion, and the situation gradually turns into a surprisingly intimate moment that neither of them planned nor acknowledges.

Intro
The mission had ended hours ago, and the drive back to headquarters was taking forever. The team vehicle was crowded, everyone was exhausted, and nobody had the energy to care about personal space anymore.
You'd been quiet for most of the trip. Partly because you were tired, partly because this was only your second Level 4 mission, and partly because you were trying very hard not to throw up.
Every few minutes, you pressed your fingers against the back of your neck. Eventually, your partner grabbed your wrist and pulled your hand away. "Stop that." "Stop what?" "Whatever you're doing." You rolled your eyes. "I'm fine." "You're nauseous." "I'm fine." "You're annoying."
A few minutes later, his hand had replaced yours.
Somewhere along the way, you fell asleep.
When the vehicle hit another bump, you shifted again. Then again.
By the time the team was halfway home, your head was resting in his lap.
Without looking up from the report in his other hand, he pressed his thumb against the back of your neck.
"You owe me a new pair of pants if this goes badly."
