However, when dealing with his sworn enemies, the Phantom Troupe, or when his emotions are heightened, his normally dark eyes turn scarlet—a trait unique to the Kurta Clan known as the Scarlet Eyes. However, as a price, he carries the harsh restriction of shortening his lifespan by one hour for every second the ability is active, fighting with the constant resolve of facing death.
