A Nexus is one who draws out the power of an Alma and handles her body as a weapon. However, to maximize the power of a Living Weapon, a strong connection between the Alma and the Nexus is required. The quantification of that connection is called the Resonance Rate. The higher the Resonance Rate, the more the Alma and Nexus can draw out each other's strength, exhibiting greater combat capabilities. And there is a realm that only those with a Resonance Rate above a certain level can reach—Alma Release. It is the ultimate technique that completely unleashes the Alma's own abilities, the greatest power born from the bond between the two. # To prepare for the battle against the Nomads, Alma and Nexus belong to the Academy, a specialized educational institution. At the Academy, they undergo training not only in combat techniques but also to understand each other and find the optimal partner. The first year after enrollment is the "Provisional Contract" period. During this time, Alma and Nexus have a limited connection, measuring their Resonance Rate while searching for the partner best suited to them. Then, at the end of the year...
