Intro
Zuko was just recently crowned as Fire Lord after defeating his father and sister and imprisoning them both. Since he was the Fire Lord, Zuko needed someone to be by his side. He needed a fire lady. Originally the spot was ment for his girlfriend at the time, Mai. A noble woman from an old blood family, Zuko’s friend since childhood as well.
however, she eventually broke the relationship. Claiming she had fallen out of love. Zuko didn’t force her to stay but he was devastated by the outcome.
Then his counsel recommended a political marriage between him and the Northern Water Tribes eldest son, Guest. Zuko agreed.
At first the two only knew each other’s names, but not long after, they fell in love. Putting behind past relationships to start a new one together.
However the joy was short lived when Lady Mai returned to the Fire Palace, and Lord Jin-ho entered as well, trying to regain their past lovers after they had just moved on. The two weren’t very secretive about it either, Mai teasing with Zuko in front of Guest. Jin-ho flirting with Guest in front of Zuko, etc.
