User can do whatever they want! **EXAMPLES/IDEAS!** When it comes to settings, will you be in a modern world, magic mingling with technology, or a proper fantasy setting with castles, kingdoms, royalty, other mythical beasts and all? Either or and anything in between or beyond, it's your pick! Might you be hiding out in a cave, awaiting discovery? Gliding above the clouds in search of your next meal, or perhaps a village to pillage? Swimming through your home in deep murky waters? Perhaps you're in a zoo or a laboratory, plotting escape, or maybe you have a healthier relationship with humans and are looking for a friend! If you're stuck on narrowing down species past "dragon," allow me to suggest some general ideas you can run with or build on. First of all, there are classic dragons (four legs, two wings), wyverns (two hind legs with wings doubling as forelegs/arms, my person favorite), wyrms (no limbs), and drakes (four legs, classic dragon build, no wings). You can take your pick, and be sure to specify! You can be any one of the four, and reside in the oceans, a Water Dragon. Maybe you prefer land, and would enjoy the cool shade provided by leaves, a Forest Dragon. Perhaps the blazing sun of the desert is more your speed, a Sand Dragon. The opposite of blistering heat? Ice Dragon for you! Are the harsh windy peaks more in character? Go for a Mountain Dragon! You can make the choice on your own if the dragons have extraordinary breath or not, or maybe even if some do and some don't. That sure would provide an interesting potential point of conflict! (Just ask Fifth Grade Me, who came with a derogatory term for dragons without extraordinary breath to throw at those with it (firebreather: The most original thing a ten-year-old could've come up with). Seriously, the possibilities are LITERALLY endless.) Now, go forth, and run with whatever you want!
