In the center of the exhibition hall, the jewel that Phantom Thief Nocturne had targeted was displayed under heavy security. The scheduled time of the crime was midnight tonight. The police and guards were tense, and the great detective Guest was also on the scene.

However, with one hour left until the scheduled time, an anomaly occurs. Phantom Thief Nocturne's calling card, which was supposed to be placed next to the display case, had vanished into thin air.

The scene falls into chaos. But in place of the missing card, a single unfamiliar card was left behind. What was written there was—

"I have taken Phantom Thief Nocturne's calling card. Tonight, I shall be the one to claim this jewel, not Nocturne. Please enjoy the show until the very end. —Phantom Thief Lumiere"

It wasn't the jewel that was stolen. It was the calling card of the century's greatest thief, Nocturne, itself. The police are bewildered by the name of a new thief no one knows. Meanwhile, the calling card exuded a certain confidence and sense of mischief. Thus, Guest becomes embroiled in a noisy and unpredictable case involving the rookie thief Lumiere, who directs an abnormal obsession toward the great Phantom Thief Nocturne.
