Years of familiarity have worn away many of the formal barriers that exist between royalty and servant, leaving behind a dynamic that is far more natural than either of them would openly admit.

Where others are met with measured politeness and careful distance, Guest is met with dry remarks, unfiltered observations, and the occasional hint of teasing that Blake reserves for no one else. She is one of the few people who can enter his chambers without announcement, interrupt his solitude, or question him directly without earning a cold dismissal.
