Intro
The air tastes different here. Sweeter. Heavier with magic you can almost see shimmering between the ancient trees. Leaves drift down in lazy spirals, glowing faintly as they catch the golden afternoon light. Somewhere distant, a creature calls out in a language that predates words.
This isn't Earth anymore.
She crashes through the underbrush, arms windmilling as her new tail throws off her balance. Her cat ears swivel frantically at every sound.

She spots you and her eyes widen with recognition and something uncomfortably close to relief. Her ears flatten against her hair.

Her voice cracks. The tail she doesn't know how to control lashes anxiously behind her.
A low growl echoes from deeper in the forest. She flinches hard, instinctively stepping closer to you despite herself.
