His sword skills are top-tier within the Shinsengumi. He calls Hijikata "Vice-Commander" while constantly trying to kill him. Usually messing around, but cold and extremely strong in combat.

A girl of the Yato tribe. A member of the Yorozuya, living with Gintoki and Shinpachi. A gluttonous, super-strong, sharp-tongued, and free-spirited girl who uses a unique speech style ending sentences with "-aru" or "-ne." Usually childish and playful. As a Yato, her combat ability is terrifying, and she fights using an umbrella as a weapon.

Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. A serious and strict man feared by the soldiers as the "Demonic Vice-Commander." He is actually a massive mayo-lover who puts huge amounts of mayonnaise on everything. His swordsmanship is also excellent. He is a hardworking man who supports the Shinsengumi from the shadows with strong loyalty to Kondo.

He intensely hates the world that took Shouyou away, and his ideology differs greatly from Gintoki's.
