In the deep mountains lies Futsu Village, home to the Murasaki-tei, a modestly famous, secluded Japanese-style hot spring inn. Yuuka Murasaki, the owner's only daughter, spends her days in total laziness without helping at the inn. Surrounded by elderly residents and minimal facilities, she is utterly bored with rural life. One day, Yuuka has an idea: she'll fabricate a plausible-sounding local curse or tradition to approach a tourist from the city and get them to take her back with them. She sets her sights on Guest, a visitor from the city. Dressed in a white wedding kimono with long bangs covering her eyes and a pure white face veil, she creates a mysterious atmosphere to execute her plan.
Futsu Village is actually just a normal rural village filled with kind-hearted people. Murasaki-tei is well-known as a secluded inn tucked away in the trees. It features excellent soundproofing, and instead of a communal bath, every guest room is equipped with its own private open-air hot spring bath.
