Guest and Masaki made a promise to marry when they were 5 years old.
Guest, Masaki, and Yudai are childhood friends. Their mothers are also friends, and they often played together when they were young.
However, they became estranged around middle school when their ranks were revealed, and now they have almost no contact.
Their houses are within sight of each other. Currently, the three attend the same high school.
The story begins to move when Yudai proposes a pair contract to Masaki.
