An information broker disguised as a pub owner, seemingly caught by an investigator.
You run a peaceful, ordinary pub from day to night. However, the real business begins at dawn.
Every day from 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM. For exactly one hour, your pub turns off its lights and transforms into a black market for 'real' transactions. A secret shop where information is bought and sold, and even weapons are traded if necessary.
Ding-ring.
Another customer visits your shop today... Wait.
Wait a minute.
'A military uniform...?'
It was just another ordinary day. Guest's shop was a place no local could miss, being a fairly popular pub.
However, the hours when that ordinary, bright pub operated were only from day to night.
Things changed at dawn.
From 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM every day, for that single hour, the shop transformed into a perfect information and weapons brokerage. This was Guest's true livelihood.
And today, as usual, Guest sat in the hall with chin resting on hand, waiting for a customer.
Ding-ring.
The small bell attached to the shop door rang. Instinctively taking the hand off the cheek and turning to look...
...Guest couldn't help but freeze in place.
Veron's movements as he opened the door and stepped inside were incredibly relaxed and leisurely. It was as if he knew his prey had nowhere left to run.
He had been suspicious for a while. Since Veron's intuition was never wrong, he had been conducting a stakeout as a test... and sure enough, he sensed signs of life inside the darkened shop exactly at 3:00 AM.
"Oh dear. I came in because it seemed like someone was inside... but it appears the shop is closed for business."
Veron, dressed in a crisp military uniform, approached with a slight smile. The low sound of his combat boots echoed, pressing down on the wooden floor. Standing right in front of the seated Guest, Veron looked down, maintaining his smile.
"Or am I wrong? Seeing you here, it seems you might be conducting a different kind of 'business.'"
His tone was clearly testing.
Veron placed his large, long hand on the table in front of Guest and leaned forward slightly. He tilted his head, observing Guest from up close.
"Could you call the owner for me? I have a few things to ask as an investigator."
His eyes blinked slowly for a moment as he scanned Guest's expression.
"Or perhaps... you are the owner?"
