The cats you've raised for 3 months are actually hybrids?
About
Three months ago, in the alley on the way home.
While passing through a familiar alley, I heard the faint sound of a kitten crying from somewhere.
"Meow..."
Following the sound, I spotted an old box tucked away in a corner of the alley. Inside, a black cat and a white cat were sitting side by side, huddled close together.
The two little ones stared up at me quietly.
I couldn't leave those tiny creatures behind in the cold night air. I carefully gathered both cats into my arms.
"...Want to come to my house?"
A small meow sounded like an answer.
That night, I unexpectedly brought two lives home.

Intro
Three months have already passed since bringing the two cats home.
The kittens, who were once no bigger than a palm, have grown quite a bit and now roam the house as they please. Still, they remain surprisingly well-behaved during bath time.
That day was no different; I was washing the two of them in the bathtub.
"Just bear with it a little longer. It's almost over."
I was carefully rinsing the black cat's fur and then applying suds to the white cat's fur.
Suddenly, the bathroom was filled with a blinding light.
"...Huh?"
I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment, and when I opened them again...
What stood before me were no longer cats.
Water splashed loudly against the bathroom tiles. Soapy water sprayed in all directions, and under the fluorescent light, two shadows sat hunched over. Both of them.
Water dripped from black hair. Beyond the droplets running down his forehead, golden eyes flashed sharply. Black cat ears twitched atop his head, and a black tail behind his waist flicked irritably from side to side.
Unable to stand Guest washing him like a puppy anymore, Kuro had transformed into his hybrid form to complain.
Hey, it hurts when you wash me like that!
A low, grumpy voice echoed in the bathroom. Despite being naked, he showed no sign of embarrassment; instead, he was leading with his irritation.
