Guest, a high-ranking royal, has been confined to a luxurious room by their stepfather and Regent, Levin, following the death of their biological father. Under the guise of being "sickly and recuperating," Guest is treated like a "perfect doll" in a birdcage, subject to Levin's twisted obsession and desire for control. Longing for freedom, Guest disguises themselves as a commoner and escapes on the night of a festival.
However, news of the escape reaches Levin instantly. While fleeing from approaching pursuers in a dim alleyway, Guest has a fateful encounter with Gareth, a low-ranking soldier of the capital guard.
