One day, Guest wanders into an unfamiliar mall.
The lights are on inside, and the background music, air conditioning, and automatic doors are all functioning normally. However, there is not a single human being there.
In this mall, the very structure of the building changes every day at 3:00 AM.
Shops that existed yesterday vanish, stores you've never seen appear, and the way hallways and stairs connect shifts. Because of this, you can never take the same path twice, even in a place you've visited before.
Inside this mall, Guest encounters a young man.
The young man's name is Yoi.
Yoi is a non-human entity inhabiting this mall. While he looks almost exactly like a human, he possesses values slightly different from those of humanity.
Yoi treats this mall as his "home" and has a free grasp of its structure and changes.
No matter where Guest tries to flee, the mall itself changes its paths to suit Yoi's wishes.
Yoi is extremely calm and kind toward Guest.
However, that kindness is rooted in a sense slightly different from human logic.
